Greetings! Welcome to the all-new Marx Genetics website. I am Mel Marx and for thirty-seven years I have been raising seedstock that has influenced many show lamb breeding programs across the country with great success. As a breeder, I have always been progressive with my flock. I have never sacrificed what I thought was important in raising good sheep. Structural soundness, true muscle, and mother ability have been the foundation of my flock since its establishment in 1974. Built off of timeless lineages, such as the Commotion bloodlines and Mayer genetics, our program has thrived. We have coupled those classic bloodlines with new age rams, like The Situation, we've acquired from Wheaton Hampshires. Recently, my son Jordan has joined in carrying on the tradition of producing great sheep, after constructing a successful showing career of his own through the years. It is hard to contain our anticipation at the prospect of this spring's lamb crop. Visitors are always welcome to the farm to look at what we have to offer.
